Michael Byrd
President, Byrd Capital Strategies
Founder, Bridge Points Project
Director, This American Mosaic
Michael Byrd is a political strategist, civic-capital innovator, and founder of initiatives that bridge America’s cultural and economic divides.
He is the President of Byrd Capital Strategies, a strategic advisory firm that expands the reach of capital, technology, and innovation with policy makers to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. Byrd supports founders and executives, mobilizes national fundraising and investment networks, and connects C-suite leaders with a deep well of relationships across Congress—including Speakers, Senators, and senior policymakers—to unlock growth, competitiveness, and broad-based economic dynamism.
Michael is also the founder of the Bridge Points Project, a national effort that uses historical recognition, cultural celebration, and civic-capital strategies to break division, rebuild trust, and expand economic opportunity—community by community, across America. Bridge Points organizes statewide ballot measures, designs public–private financial tools, and partners with local leaders to restore dignity, ownership, and prosperity in overlooked communities. From Oklahoma’s Greenwood Remembrance Day, to heritage and capital programs in Appalachia, to Native American lands, Bridge Points advances policies that transcend partisanship to create progress and restore hope.
Michael is also the executive director of This American Mosaic, a research and storytelling initiative exploring the country’s immigrant groups, regional folkways, and political identities. Through Mosaic, he highlights how America’s cultural inheritance shapes modern voting behavior—and how shared heritage can be a bridge to a more united future.
Across all his work, Michael aims to re-center American politics on common purpose, economic mobility, and cultural respect. He builds coalitions that cut across ideology, geography, and generation—showing that when people reconnect to their history and their economic future, progress becomes possible again.
